In case you do not know, you should never look for the street or the address. It is said that the street is in Ohio. However, it is not real at all. The Elm Street Springwood is actually a fictional address. The address is from a fictional story related to the horror and thriller character, Freddy Krueger. Freddy Krueger is character of A Nightmare on Elm Street. In the fiction, the street is location of suburban area in Ohio. However when you go to Ohio, the Elm Street Springwood will never be found. The name of the street got popular because of the horror story of Freddy Krueger. Although it is fiction, it was so popular in the past that has made the character of Freddy Krueger an urban legend. Thus, the street where the story took place also gets famous. However when you are looking for the actual address where the movie was shot in the past, it can be found in North Genesee Avenue. Even, the iconic house where Freddy Krueger was active is also still in there.

As for the character of Freddy Krueger, he was a serial killer. It was said that his biological mother called Amanda Krueger. She was raped and beaten by many maniacs. In the end, she got pregnant and gave birth to Freddy Krueger. However, Freddy did not grow with his mother. He got adopted by Mr. Underwood. He was an alcoholic and he did various abuses on Freddy during his childhood. Because of that, he hated his adoptive father and got his revenge by killing him. He even grew up by killing children around the place and he got title of Springwood Slasher. In total, he killed 20 kids and he even killed his own wife. Unfortunately, his daughter saw him when he killed his wife. In the end, Freddy got arrested but he did not get jailed. After he got released, he lived in Boiler Room in a power plant. Unfortunately, many parents whom the kids were killed raided and burnt the boiler room. He died but in his final moment, dream demons gave him power. After some years, Freddy returned again and he began killing children.

Then, the nightmare on Elm Street started. In the movie series, there were some locations that appeared. First, it is the 1419 Elm Street. Freddy Krueger became the dream demon and he became nightmare of kids around the street. He got power that enable him kill anyone haunted by him in the dream. He almost always got success in his killing spree until he met Nancy Thomson. She could survive so Freddy decided to hunt her. He started by killing Nancy’s boyfriend, Glen. Nancy tried to help Glen by telling him in advance so he did not sleep. However, Nancy failed as her phone call was answered by Glen’s parent. In the end, Glen fell asleep and he got killed by Freddy. Glen’s parents asked the police to investigate but the police did not find any clue about it. Then, Freddy Krueger started to become terror in Elm Street.

The terror continued in address of 1427 Elm Street. The location was only across the 1428 Elm Street. This was the house of Nancy, the survivor of Freddy Krueger’s terror. In the house of 1427 Elm Street, there lived John Doe. He was an amnesiac young man and he got nightmares during his sleep. He found Freddy Krueger haunting him in the dream. Then, the terror got continued to the 1428 Elm Street where Nancy lived with his parents. In this place, Nancy was not aware why she got targeted and haunted by Freddy Krueger. She never understood the reasons. In fact, her parents were involved in the death of Freddy Krueger. That was why Freddy wanted to kill her as his revenge to those who killed him. Nancy could survive from the terror of Freddy because she woke up right before she got killed. As for her mother who got involved in the death of Freddy never knew that Freddy had got back and haunted the area.

In the end, Nancy’s mother was aware of the Freddy’s terror. She then told Nancy the story behind Freddy and why he was killed in the past. Even, Nancy’s mother still brought the razor glove that became the weapons of Freddy Krueger in killing 20 children. Knowing that Freddy would never let Nancy live, she decided to trap Freddy. Nancy made various booby traps. With the preparation, Nancy decided to sleep to meet Freddy and pull him out of the dream world. Nancy was successful to bring the killer to the real world. He pursued Nancy and he fell into one of her trap. Freddy still tried to kill Nancy by following her. He got into traps but these did not stop him. Then, Freddy was trapped in the basement and got burnt by Nancy. However, these were not enough to kill him. He run away and killed Nancy’s mother instead.
